In the position of Senior Field Engineer at Motorola Solutions, your primary duties will revolve around working with both analog and digital wireless communication systems. These responsibilities encompass the installation, implementation, configuration, testing, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of said systems.

Furthermore, you will be tasked with performing systems integration testing, preventive maintenance, and monitoring the performance of digital radio communication systems. Your specialized knowledge will be utilized to support Motorola systems in the regions of Africa and the Middle East. Additionally, you will be expected to independently diagnose and rectify complex system issues, as well as provide technical assistance to customers both locally and remotely. There may also be a requirement for participation in an out-of-hours standby schedule.

Eligibility & Educational Conditions for Motorola

1. An individual who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electronics engineering or has practical engineering experience.
2. This individual should have at least three years of experience working with large-scale radio communication systems, specifically in the field of RF.
3. Additionally, experience in systems integration and a proven track record in maintaining and supporting large-scale communication systems is required.
4. In-depth knowledge of digital wireless communication systems, as well as experience in implementing IP networks, is necessary.
5. Knowledge in the areas of microwave, mobile data, and telephony is advantageous.
6. The individual should have a multidisciplinary systems view and capabilities, as well as a basic understanding of dealing with RF interference and RF optimization services.
7. Self-learning capabilities are important, as is a high-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, and spoken language).
8. The individual should be able to communicate technically with customers and Motorola field personnel, and have the ability to work independently and supervise others when necessary.
9. Willingness to work irregular hours and respond to emergency service calls is required.
10. A strong focus on achieving high customer satisfaction is necessary, as is computer literacy (PC skills).
11. The individual should also be able to fulfill rigorous security clearance procedures and possess a valid driving license.
