Job Responsibilities:

• Availability and reliability data for the instrumentation system, both in the field and on the OT network, are compiled on a monthly basis.
• Efforts are made to coordinate with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and vendors to upgrade obsolete hardware and firmware for final control elements and components in the OT network, involving all nodes.
• Compliance with external audits is ensured, and any actionable observations are promptly addressed within the specified timelines.
• Analysis of critical spares and inventory is carried out to minimize non-moving inventory and ensure that critical spares are always available when needed.
• RCA's for equipment and spares failures are conducted in order to identify the root causes and implement reliability measures to prevent future failures.

Skills Required:

• The ability to comprehend and interpret Instrumentation engineering drawings and documents is a crucial skill.
• It is also important to have a strong understanding of the control systems and communication protocols used in the Oil & Gas industry.
• This includes being familiar with various instruments and equipment such as PLCs, SCADA, RTU, DCS, Network switches, and OT networks, as well as having a basic knowledge of Functional safety standards.
• Additionally, knowledge of Fire & Gas monitoring and protection systems specific to the Oil & Gas sector is highly desirable.
• Understanding the codes and standards related to oil & gas Instrumentation is also essential, such as IEC 60529, IEC 60079, ISO 5167 & 5168, IEC 61508, and 61511.
• Being a team player and having a willingness to continuously learn and develop technical skills is a must in this field.
• Previous experience in the calibration of various instruments such as flow, level, pressure, temperature measurements, controllers, control valves, and shutdown valves is also valuable.
